Mother of six Leslie Leyland Fields says that for most parents, the goal of parenting is to raise children to be godly adults, but that often leads to disappointment. Instead, she says, a parent’s goal should be to glorify God. The danger, she explains, is when parents make too much of themselves and not enough of God.
